It's called a spider although it has roll-up side windows and came standard with a soft top.... so basically a roadster I would think. It's a cute and kinda sexy design courtesy of Pininfarina and came standard with a 1.3 liter twin cam 4 cylinder that produced 79 HP with the rare Veloce variant producing 91 HP. I remember seeing them on the road and trying to figure out if I could fit in one without the windscreen frame being at eye level. Also, back in my youth, if it didn't have a V8 in it, I wasn't interested anyway. The value of this car today is fairly reasonable for either a survivor or a restored car. It seems the real money is not so much in the car, but rather in the very rare detachable hard top  that this AUTOart model features. It's all steel and came with either glass or Plexiglass rear inserts. Having this option almost doubles the price of the car.

This model is beautifully crafted with gorgeous Alfa Romeo badging and even a cast trunk escutcheon.

Yepper!   I absolutely love this one; it's so cool!     I especially like those trunk hinges - reminds me of the 1/18 '41 Chevy "trunk project"  I'm working on.  😉 😉

Fabulous pics Rich.   Bravo!  😎 😎

Rich, great pics of this little beauty, thanks. You mentioned that it came with a soft top. Would that have been a folding top that fit behind the seats because I hardly see any room for it there ?

@100ford2003 The actual car came usually with a soft top... not the model.

@chris I do so admire your dedication to opening trunk lids, Chris. That looks like a lotta damn work.

@rich-sufficool    Thanks, but honestly the hard part will come when I have to fabricate trunk lips & edges, the underside of the trunk, the interior, etc...      The other day, I grinded down the sides  for a more appropriate scale thickness BEFORE all the REAL work begins.  😉
