This streamlined 1938 Mercedes-Benz 540K Autobahn Kurier is one of two built by Karosserie Sindelfigen which still builds custom luxury bodies for Mercedes. It's an interesting blend of the late '30s streamline Moderne design yet still maintaining it Germanic roots. Built for high speed cruising on Germany's Autobahn highways, it featured a Roots supercharged 5.4 liter straight 8 producing 180 HP that could get you to 110 mph. This car was delivered to a Spanish ophthalmologist in 1938 and stayed in his family until 2004 and is the only survivor of the two built. It won Best of Show at the 2021 Pebble Beach extravaganza. It's still powered by its original engine and is now part of the Keller collection. If I owned this beast, I would name it "Black Panther" for its streamlined an aggressive looks.

@michaeldetorrice BoS or, ironically, Best of Show, which it indeed win at Pebble Beach in 2021.

Beautiful. Another one to look for. I have a few BoS models, which tend to be impressive in detail.
