A white 1973 Falcon XB GT Coupe with the optional 351 Cleveland was heavily modified by Melbourne based Graf-X International. In he first movie, the car was shown to Max to entice him to go back on the road. Then the Weiand supercharger was non-functional. When production for Mad Max was over and the company was broke, as payment, the car was given to heir Chief Mechanic who ditched the blower and side pipes for street use. For MM2 The Road Warrior, they bought it back from him and bought an identical replacement blower, but this time it functioned off the crankshaft pulley. The "Concorde" style nose piece now had its lower half missing and two huge tanks and jerry cans filled the open rear. Known as the " MFP Pursuit Special" it was a replacement for the only other car with the classification: the '72 HQ Holden Monaro Sedan stolen by the "Night Rider" and destroyed. Max's Falcon was destroyed and he was saved by the 'Gyro Captain'. AUTOart produced three Falcons: a clean MM2, a partially wrecked dirty MM2 and a pristine MM1 model oddly w/o the MFP badging. Greenlight also made an MM1 model with the proper badging.
Here it is in pristine form from MM1:
and here's Max's first Interceptor: the Falcon Sedan:
That's quite the MAD collection! Talk about a cult classic! 😎 😎 😎
