Interesting! This story confirms what I've heard before that they were not good driving cars.
However, they are gorgeous! I have my Bauer on order. My latest understanding is they are supposed to ship this or next month. I have my fingers crossed.
Marlowe, I look forward to seeing your pics once you finally receive it
This should be an excellent model.
I've purchased a glass display case for it. I think it has the chance of being...
... the crown jewel of my collection. I don't have ANY space for it but I have models currently on display that I'll gladly sacrifice for the Bauer.
Spoken like a true collector...
"I don't have any space for it, but..."
I've been putting off building a larger display case so I can display my CMC Bartoletti transporter with cars on it. My current case top is about a 1/2" low. Until I get that completed, it along with some of the models I will put on it are taking up some display space that could be used by other models!
When have you been told it is ready for shipping??
I also have one on order and OF COURSE I would be happy to received it for my birthday (I am turning on the big "6" at the end of the month) so I would deserve it before you LOL.
Interesting reading, SLOW car even by 30s standards!
BUT with the top down you want EVERYONE to see you and how could they if you were breezn on by???? 😉
Richard when is your Birthday? Mine is Jan 29th!
Somehow I knew you were Aquarious too! I can tell by your eccentric side (in a "good way") 😉 I think all of us Aquarians are eccentric! lol
