This 2003 Nissan Skyline GT-R that raced and won in the Japanese Grand Touring Championship (JGTC) race circuit running in the GT500 class. It was the first year that NISMO replaced their inline 6 with with a compact aluminum block twin-turbo 3.0 liter V6 to offer a more refined center of gravity and weight distribution. The engine produced 480 HP and 542 lb/ft of torque and it continued to power the NISMO built race cars after they were rebranded the resurrected marque "Fairlady Z". There were road cars built that year with that engine stroked to 500 HP which must a been one hairy street machine.
This sealed model is part of AUTOart's JGTC series of race cars and tomorrow I'll post a really cool looking Honda NSX NISMO.
