This 1st generation Aston Martin Rapide (2010-2013) began as a stretched DB9 to accommodate another pair of doors and recontoured so it doesn't look like a stretched DB9. Along with a distinctive nose, They lowered the roof line to keep the Aston Martin "look". So, being now almost 3" shorter than the Porsche Panamera, it's head-banger for those over 6'. For the super rich with a Napoleonic complex, it's a powerful ride with its 470 HP 6.0 liter quad-OHC V12 with 6 speed Touchtronic ll transmission giving specs of 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and a top end of 188 mph. The 2nd gen is the Rapide S with enough horsepower (560) with an 8 speed to give performance at 4.4 secs and 203 mph. The Rapide's production was built by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria perhaps accounting for this unexpected LHD model.
I like this one.... never knew it even existed. Very sleek for a 10 year old car.
The styling looks great. Nice extension to the DB9. I’d love to drive this one. Much better looking than the Panamera. Thanks Rich.
Impressive and sleek ! I am not familiar with this 1/18 model either. Who has done this one ?
Have you layed eyes on the current Panamera ?
They're all over SoCal and downright gorgeous in the right colors.
And, have you checked out the 'special' models only built for the opec 'queens'....
I don't know how to post that video...sorry.
They sure don't hold their value as a used car when you can buy a 2012 with low mileage for about 60k when it was what $101,000 or almost 300,000 oh well I love throwing away my money don't you
@100ford2003 My neighbor has Panamera 4S. They're nice enough looking but I'm having a hard time accepting all these stretched out super sports cars.
Great looking Aston! Another model I wish I'd grabbed.
