i have a Anson  1/18 1932 Cadillac 4 dr Sport Phaeton and am curious if anyone’s who may have one of these as ever had to remove one or more of the wheels....

is it even possible to remove them without occurring damage? I’m thinking of giving the wheels a trim ring effect similar to what I did on my 1911 RR. but in red.

I've never removed the wheels from one of these, Larry, but perhaps a very close examination of them may give you some clues. One would imagine someone had to put the wheels on during the models fabrication, so a careful reversing of that procedure may work.

Some 1/18ths, perhaps including some Yat Ming cars, featured the wheels being held on by small screws concealed under the center cap of the wheel. If this center cap was carefully pried off, it revealed the small screw, which could then be removed to take off the wheel.

@mikedetorrice

yes,that was the case on my FM Rolls, did find tiny washers/bushings in the hubs that I had to be careful not not lose and definitely needed to be put back in when reassembled..
