My brother and I quite like the Willys civilian vehicles from the '50s and decided to modify a Lucky Diecast panel van to look more realistic....less bling, lower ride height, open wheels, vent windows, radiused rear wheel opening,etc. We'd modified a window van version years ago but were a lot more interested in the panel version. It was a relatively quick and relatively easy project but it turned out just like we'd hoped.

Very nice work. I particularly like the wheels. Just the thing for a grove in Orange County.

@bob-jackman I've never seen anyone re-paint diecasts better than the Read brothers.
