Quite cool! I have watched some of these in action from time to time. Riveting:
@perrone1 That's one the better R/C truck action videos!
Yes indeed, compared to when I was heavily into R/C cars, these modern machines are next-level engineered AND next-level fun! Here's just some of the "crap," gas & electric, I use to fool around with. Naturally I painted & detailed my own bodies and sometimes engineered my own drivelines. 😏 😏
Just to have working headlights on R/C cars back then was something special - today, of course, that hardly garners a mention!
$18,500 for the excavator! Whew!

...that's why they're called "Big Boy Toys." There's not much or nothing "small" about them. In my hey-day, 1/4 scale was about the most expensive, land-based, R/C equipment around; a $3,500 set-up would've made you the envy of all others.
Many don't realize, until they're in it, that on-going maintenance is ALSO a factor. To this day, I'll caution anyone considering a quality R/C hobby..... 40% of your time will be devoted to repairs, upgrades, cleaning, & PM (preventative maintenance ).
Not unlike like pools, boats, or horses.... R/C's too can become real money pits, real fast. 🙄 😬 🙄
@chris It is cool. I enjoy watching them. There are several good ones on YouTube.
In any hobby there are various levels of expense involved. It's always fun to watch the extremes.
@perrone1 - These folks participating in these "construction site" events are seriously committed! It's jaw-dropping, and I absolutely LOVE this stuff!
