I'm adding a few 1:18s to my collection this week. Xoto detail is impressive.

Exoto does make a nice car, these Corvette Grand Sports are nice, I have seen the silver ones on eBay but I already have a coupe and a roadster in the Grand Sport.

Hi John. Yeah, I had a few of these Xotos in the collection I sold off when I moved a few years ago. From what I've seen on eBay, some are appreciating in value fairly rapidly.

 The Corvette Grand Sport models quite well - The Exoto's are very nice but don't overlook the Yat Ming models which display well next to them and are a lot cheaper

agreed...the YM Roadsters are a very nice cheaper alternative.

Coupe by Exoto (the only source), Roadster by YM:

@franklemire

Thanks. I'm not familiar with the Yat Ming. Do any of yall have photos of the interior and engine details?

@gavin Thanks, Gavin. The YM looks good! I'm surprised I've never heard of that brand. How does the cost compare to the Xoto? I've built model cars since elementary school, but I'm relatively new to collecting die casts. I started around 2013 or so, and mostly concentrated on 1:24 DM, FM and WCPD models. The 1:18 take up more room and I have limited space, but I still have to control my impulse to buy, especially when I get on eBay during happy hour!

I paid about $25 for the Roadster, but that was 10+ years ago...no clue what they go for now.

Yat-Ming also goes by the Road Legends brand, I believe.  It is nowhere near as detailed as the Exoto, but does display very well.
