SORRY for the late "I'VE GOT MAIL" for today.  Life sort of got in the way this morning with various errands.  But alas, you can put the Back Seat down in this "Top -of-Line" Wagon for 1957 and relax while watching the stars in the park.  I was very excited when this Brochure came, as it rounded the "Tri-Chey" Nomad's in vibrant MATADOR RED.

Danbury Mint presents "the coolest wagon on the road!  The 1957 CHEVROLET NOMAD!

George, the Nomads, I think were better than their sibling sedans.  I have quite a few of the different years.

George, I too was glad when this came out to round out the tri five Nomads. I still have a problem with the top immediately over the windshield as it appears too rounded to me....other than that, the model is superb.

I agree with you Bob.  Just a guess, but perhaps the problem was that they used the "convertible" body and the doors on the Nomad were slightly higher than they anticipated, thus forcing the "rounding" of the top.  But as you said, "other than that, the model is superb".

The thing that really bothers me is that, Danbury's '55 Nomad and their '57 Nomad are 1:24 scale, while Franklin's '56 Nomad when displayed next to Danbury's, is BIGGER.  I've always believed that Franklin's was NOT 1:24 scale.

A while back, I posted something about the FM looking larger than 1:24. I'd never noticed it until I had it side-by-side with the DM '55 and '57.

THANK YOU!  Your "side-by-side" photos prove that Franklin's model is BIGGER!
