Put on your turtleneck and beret; light up a Gaulois; grab a bottle of wine and a baguette (and maybe a blonde) and now you're Yves Montand driving south from Paris to Nice. Nothing says post-war French motoring than this Citroen 2CV ( Two Steam Horses). This FM model has so many variants that you'd think no two people got the same model. There were different grills and mud flaps other variants I've forgotten. Whatever you got, you have to admit this French equivalent of the VW Beetle is cute. It was produced in numerous variants from 1948 to 1990.
GREAT pics Rich! The quintessential Citroen! And as French as a....ah, French Fry!
Nice pictures and writeup Rich. For some reason I never got this model...I'm guessing neither you or Tony must have taken pictures of it in the day. I do however have the model in 1/18 scale and coincidentally a friend has a 1/1 which I drove two weeks ago. What a hoot but don't be in a hurry to get to your destination.
Everybody sing: Thank heaven...for leetle cars!
