1953 DM Studebaker LE Commander Starliner - Green
I am looking to purchase this car. Does anyone have one to sell. I hear this car was available, but limited to only people who bought the 1955 Speedster which is also rare...

I don't think this one ever made it to production ...
I saw once a green 1953 Studebaker on the shelves' pictures of a forum member here, but I don't remember who that was.
Believe you're right. I ordered one but never received it.
It was scheduled to reprise this one...
I had a code number set up for it but then received word from Danbury that, "The program was canceled."
I recall an escapee from the factory showing up on ebay but it was the only one ever to surface.
Yes, this one was almost done when the factory was suddenly closed. The color was to be solid Lombard Green with a saddle interior. There were a few samples made with a light green top, (I have one), and I have seen both versions on eBay. Someone grabbed whatever development pieces they could from the factory and put them up for sale. Too bad...this car looks good in almost any color.
can you share a pic of how that one looks?
Yes it does, any color!!!!!!
thanks for the insight Rick
I'll ask T to post photos of the Stude.
PICS!! Here they are, from Rick...
