Chrysler begins their "Forward Look" with the straight line that rises from the nose to the tail fins. These two New Yorkers demonstrate it well. The top down convertible really emphasizes the purity of those lines that are relatively unmarred by the garish trim packages of their contemporaries although the almost bubble top design on the hardtop does blend in nicely making both a contrast to the land yachts of the other two of the Big Three. Close to that design philosophy was the Studebaker Golden Hawk.
Great post, beautiful pictures of two beautiful models but...Chrysler Corp. ushered in "The Forward Look" for 1955, not 1957.

I do have both of these and DM knocked it out of the park on both. Great shots Rich. I enjoy the stories and photos.💯👍
@moe-parr For me, it was '57 for the epitome of that design. '55 & '56 was 'getting there'.
I was just pointing out the fact that according to Chrysler, the "Forward Look" began with their 1955 lineup, not opining upon which model years I preferred.@moe-parr For me, it was '57 for the epitome of that design. '55 & '56 was 'getting there'.
