By chance I found and bought a built AMT (I think) kit of a '58 Bel Air 2dr post sedan. It's a #4- on 1:1 the Hagerty scale.  I've done an extensive amount of searching on the internet but have not found another kit or a promo. I haven't even been able to find information about the model manufacturer's production number. Can anyone provide more information about this kit or as a promo? I'd like to finish/refinish one in the colors of the 1:1 that I owned for ten years until I bought my 1961 Dodge Dart Phoenix HT in 2021.

Thanks for looking,

Frank

Geoff, you do not mention a model number, but I found a picture of the old 58 that might be what you are looking for?  There are a lot of 58 chevy's made by AMT over the years, but not actually listed as a 2 door post model.

Frank, I'm guessing you already know or have the NEO four door version of your Dodge Phoenix in the same color as your 1/1. In 1961 my dad bought a four door hardtop Polara in that same shade of blue as well.

Here is a picture of the built model. It is a Bel Air 2dr post sedan.  As I've said, I haven't been able to track down another or any information about the kit. Kit bashing an Impala won't do because the roofs, rear fenders, and trunks are too different.

Yes Bob, I do have the 4dr HT version in light blue. Close enough works in this case. 😉
