The XKE for me. Always wanted to own one of these beauty's.

Me TOO!!
as Click and Clack were often heard to praise/curse the Jag-you-are,it`s my choice here
@perrone1 One of my textile clients back in the 90's had one, and I was fortunate to be able to drive in it. Made my day!
@perrone1 Forgot to mention. I love this car so much that I purchased 2 of the FM models. One I bought new and the other 2nd had. When I finally moved all my cars to my new office, I found the new one, that I must have missed putting on my inventory list. So now I have the 2nd one for sale on the other site. Wish I could sell it here.
Tony, you are sending us far too many hard choices.
The Mercedes-Benz 300SL roadster is one of my favourites, but as a Jaguar collector and fan, and a previous owner of a Jaguar E-Type Coupe, I have to choose it.
This is a tough one: I will pick the red one
I love them both so this comparison is extremely close. From a styling perspective the stunning Jag gets the nod but from a reliability perspective Mercedes wins. So with this in consideration.......I vote for the XKE! I should add that for looks I much prefer the earlier single headlight" Mercedes over the one shown.
WOW! Your Jaguar XKE has much tighter shut lines than mine. I looks great!

So sell your Merc and buy the Jag XKE (with a load of cash). What's the problem, Mr "Benz-guy"? LOL
I’ll take the Mercedes!

Coincidently yesterday our state fair show ended and a friend asked me to drive his 1968 Series One home for him as he was driving another car he had shown. His Jag roadster is red with a black interior. Based on the current value of these two cars, the Mercedes 300SL is worth a million dollars plus as compared to the Jag which is a low six figure car. I love the Jag but have to go with the MB. Easy decision because I can't afford either.
Was allowed to drive an XKE a couple of times while a Mechanic at small shop in Mpls called Little Europe in my youth.an experience that was hard to top!
Fantastic automobile but that 4.2 Liter dual overhead cam motor was a B***H to work on!!!😒
