More Mighty Muscle arrived in my mailbox with this Flyer.  It was a car touted as being "A Sleeper Muscle Car that became a Legend" and "A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing".  It was all that and more!  A simple "mid-size sedan" that boated power and speed with a big and bad boy engine under the hood.  In exciting Tuxedo Black paint and Red-Line Tires, this was muscle you could flex and a model you had to have!  I know I had to have it.  It's a monster and I love it!

I really like this one, and as it turned out, the only Nova in my collection.

While I've never been a fan of the Nova I like this model and the Yenko version.

Me too, Bob.  Funny story that I'm sure you and some here who know me from my posts and opinions, you know I don't like '61 Lincoln's.  Well, I had the Yenko version of this Nova and I actually traded it to a fellow member on the Forum for a '61 Lincoln.  Why?  Well, because even though I'm not a fan of the Lincoln, I wanted one in my collection to represent the drastic change in styling the '61 had.  I like the model!  Still wish I had the Yenko Nova too, but I'm happy with the trade that was made.

Like you George, when this model was announced I had to have it!  DM got the proportions of this model just right!  I also have the blue over white SS 350.

When I was in high school I was interested in buying a new 1972 Nova, of course in a milder trim level---a 350 with a Turbo hydramatic.  I don't think the SS396 was available after 1970.  Here's a couple of scans of a flyer I got from the Chevrolet dealer in 1972 for the Rally Nova

George, another great write up on a wonderful version of the Nova.  I managed to get all three and they adorn my shelves nicely.

@carsman1958, I too, have the Blue/White version and of course the Black one above.  As I'd mentioned in another post, I also had the Green Yenko version, but traded it to a fellow Forum member for his '61 Lincoln.  An odd trade, since I'm not a '61 Lincoln fan.  But I love the one I got in trade.
