Cool shot Galen. I dont watch NASCAR anymore. It's WAY over-regulated now. Plus I lost interest after Dale Jr. retired. No one else I was interested in following.😥

@geno I'w with you Geno.  I have lost interest as well.  Just let them build cars to go fast and see who does it better.  That was the way it was.  Now they all go about the same and I hate to say it, but the best part of the races is the accidents and hopefully no one gets hurt.  I was a big Richard Petty fan back in the 60's-70's, and as the new comers came along, I pulled for Rusty Wallace.  After he retired, I kinda of gave up.

@carsman1958 LOL, John, Rusty was my favorite as well until he retired, then I started following Dale Jr. Got to meet Rusty a couple of times. A great, down to earth guy. He even autographed my Sam Bass print for me as seen in this pic.😊

@geno That's cool Geno.  I have a signed print of Michael Andretti when he was running Indy.  I use to follow all types of racing.  Drag, Indy, Formula 1, Nascar, Demo Derby, you name it, I have seen it.  My buddy and I would travel around the country going to different tracks to see all types of Racing.  Miss those days as I really don't keep up with any of it anymore.

I was riveted to NASCAR in the 60s, 70s and 80s but started to notice the down home flavor of the production, drivers and associated players begin to change.  It became BIG business with big name sponsors and the drivers became superstars.  I understand why it all developed this way as interest and attending crowds grew leaps and bounds but for me all of this kind of spoiled it.  Looking back my favorite era was the 1970s; the TV production/presentation became much better quality but not too slick, the drivers and announcers were more natural and relatable, the cars were slower of course but the racing seemed more exciting to me.  Just one person's opinion.

Add me too. A big NASCAR fan when they ran 'stock' cars. Then, for all the reasons you fellas state, I couldn't stand to watch it, watered down, any more. Still love drag racing, F-1 and Indy, especially the road course races.
