'64 Falcon Sprint (model kit completed)

Here are a few quick snaps. The lighting I have really doesn't do justice to the Guardsman Blue color. I am going to set up outside and take some pics in natural light, but until then here's a sampling.

We all have a few favorites that probably would never be made in diecast, even if China production hadn't gone south. I'm hoping to fill a few gaps with some plastic kits of those.

This is the 1/25 scale kit from Trumpeter.

Beautiful job ma man. Just beautiful. Are you using an airbrush or can?

Tom, I use both, depending on which type of paint is needed.

In this case I was using Scale Finishes paint to get the authentic factory color so I used an airbrush, just a cheap single-action from Harbor Freight. I think the airbrush cost me all of $6. 😉

Sure, I'll have to plan a trip up and get Gene to come along too.

This is a beautiful model and particularly the way you have finished it. But here is the problem

I dont have the talent to produce such a pristine well detailed model. Over the years I have tried but for some reason I have all kinds of problems. Runs in the paint, botched chrome detail, glue on the glass, dulling of chrome from black washing grills and some trim.
My hat is tipped to those of you with the talent and patients to have such a great example to show us.

Mark
