Tucked away and long forgotten in the basement of my ancestral home (not to be confused with Stately Wayne Manor), I actually found a pair of my old toy Nash models that escaped both being destroyed with firecrackers as a teen, our given away by my old man while I was overseas in the army. As a kid in the fifties, I was always enchanted by futuristic car designs and what looked futuristic to me back then were the orphan cars of Kaiser-Frazer and Nash. Different models of the Nash were showcased on the TV series of "Superman" with George Reeves where the cops drove Nash Statesman Super police cars and Lois Lane, a cute little Rambler convertible. The green Airflyte promo is friction motor powered with cast metal grill, headlamps and bumpers. The warp factor is just enough to jam the motor against the body so its varooming days are over. The bare metal Airflyte is a Banthrico bank that I had abused so much that I removed what little paint that was left to try to address as much of the body damage with the idea of one day doing the mud work and giving it a tutone paint job because it actually is (or was) a fairly accurate casting.
Very cool.

It's amazing that these two could have been stored for so long and survive.

They simply wound up in a box in the basement with a few other cool Tootsie Toys and Hubleys including a couple of Buicks... two of them were Motorama Buick concept cars, a '49-ish Kaiser in the 1/43 range and a 1/24-ish '49 Buick convertible with a flip-down chromed metal top.
Nice story and neat vintage toys/models. Thanks for sharing !!!
Very cool! I assume the cream colored one is a Kaiser; judging by the hood badge.
