I just received my latest acquisition today, Danbury’s ‘53 GMC, to complete the Mint’s ‘Professional Grade’ trio. It’s so nice that I decided to share my most wanted, most loved, and hardest to find pickup trucks to all that may be interested.
And a couple of ‘Ford Tough’ trucks that were extremely TOUGH to acquire!
All very worthwhile models!
I love them all; good for you to find them. The green and red GMCs are my favorites.
Kev, you hit the lotto. I love old pickem up trucks. Those are all gorgeous models.
@bob-jackman The Gunmetal Gray ‘35 Ford shows up pretty often on eBay but the Silverton Gray ‘51 is elusive as hell, Bob, and when you do find one the price is scarier than hell! They’re either low production or the owners are holding on to them because the truck is so darn pretty. I just checked today and was surprised to see two listed.
I was lucky to find mine years ago, probably got it for half that price.
@kevins I'm one of those Buckbillies as they say, born in Kentucky, raised in Ohio, lol.😁
Nice GMC trucks, I don't have any of those but I do have the FM 1950 longbed...
Then there's my 1938 cabover "altered diecast"

@geno My sister met her future husband, a railroad engineer, when he was on a layover here in Ohio. When I first met him he drove up at my parents in a red ‘66 Corvette Roadster, L79, 4 speed with side pipes. It sure made an impression on my 14 year old self! Back the I had thought that all the hillbillies that came up here drove GTO’s. ( going to Ohio) Yeah I knows it’s an old joke Geno, but it’s still a good one. Anyhoo, my sister ended up living about 40 years in Myra Kentucky, a small hamlet in Pike County.
