There are some models in my collection that just remain favorites. This rare Danbury Mint '55 Oldsmobile Super 88 is one of those favorites. The two-tone green color scheme is refreshingly different with the realism that DM always strived for and achieved in their models. Though somewhat "old tooling" as it's referred to, it is replicated to scale and perfection. Yup, it's a favorite!

George great shots. I like the checkered floor. Ads to the realism.

@georgeschire The yellow 1950 is a numbered "ERTL Collectible" LE( #957 of 2500) commissioned for "Curved Dash Oldsmobile Club". If you look at the rear you can see the aluminum dual exhausts I made for it. The actual undercarriage has the mufflers and small extensions ending mid chassis.
The #22 Overseas Motors '49 Olds has sponsorship livery "Austin of England", so I assume there's real race history there. It's made by Action which does a lot of 1/24 NASCAR models. It has straight pipes that exit at the beginning of the rear fenders with steerable front wheels and operating hood and trunk with decent engine detail.
Both the '49 and '50 models are 1/24 and I got both of these probably over 20 years ago. I did add a bit of Bare Metal Foil to both (the center windshield post on the '49 and the front and rear window frames on the '50).
Great colors on that Olds George! I missed this one.
I like this one too, George. Took me awhile to find one with minimal glue bleed on the convertible top.
