Magnifique!
Thank you Tony.....Thank you Geoff
my internet went out for what seemed like YEARS yesterday....it went out sometime during my afternoon siesta and it was gone for the day........I wasn`t completely satisfied with the shots I posted above.....but I wasn`t able to get to them until now
Big Jimmy`s “Kleanhaul”….what a joke !!....
The tiny 600 gallon tanker gave up the struggle at the peak of a compound switchback.....somewhere near county mile marker 41…far enough away from Pennington Bridge to avoid any contamination damage, but close enough to fill the very next downhill grade with what was hopefully #2 diesel, but was just as likely that “industrial magic” from Warehouse Segundo….. Jimmy`s exclusive contract….the one client they only pulled after dusk
And then along comes that old stick hauler, Freewheelin Franklin, doin` his nightly 4 up the mountain to load pulpwood…..Francis saw the Kleanhaul unit, tipped over and seeping (gushing) heavily as he narrowly avoided becoming part of the ever slickening calamity….by now the route was one-way, and downhill almost right up to the bridge......the bridge that was almost on him….if the old GMC had been carrying any weight on it`s drives, things might`ev gone differently ….the old worm-eaten flatbed was nearly devoid of any meat on it`s bones...nil weight on the drive tires, coupled with a thorough dousing of oily slickness....it was pretty much destined to all go south......which it did
