Another repost, this one is a favorite of mine, although I've never seen a solid color 1:1 '55 Oldsmobile.

I'm sure my father would have bought a monochrome Olds. I remember when he bought his '54 Ford, the only "extra" he paid for was the cigarette lighter. Most everything on the dashboard was 'plugged'. He did go for white roofs because he thought the reflectivity would work just as well as an air conditioner.

I can attest to there really being single color 55 Oldsmobile's. My dad worked part-time at Osterburg Oldsmobile in South St. Paul, MN back in 1955-56 and single color was an option. I have this model and love it. Great pics John, as always!
