the photos are spotless....the car looks like they had a good design but had to mess with it for the sake of a new model year

What a beautiful model of a beautiful car.....but someone get a torch and cut off that unsightly growth on its tail.  Some love connies...some hate 'em.  Lol.

I love both the '55 & '56 but prefer the latter just a bit more.

A nice Franklin Mint model.  It would have been so much nicer without that damn wart on the rear-end.  They were so hideous!  Put one on a beautiful car and immediately ruin the car.  I've always wondered why the mints never gave us collectors the option to have the wart or not to have it, on all of their models.  Including an extra bumper couldn't have been that hard or much more expensive to do.  I'd guess that those of us who didn't like the wart would have been happy to pay what little extra it would have been, and the same for those that (for whatever reason) like them.  It would have been a simple solution to satisfy everyone.
