Today's post continues a look at the Generation 1 (C1) Chevrolet Corvette. The Gen 1 models are, for me, broken down into Part 1 & Part 2 because of the radically different styling. The post will feature the 1956-1958 models. Which today as well, are all DM models.

1956

1956 Chevrolet Corvette Red01
1956 Chevrolet Corvette Red05
1956 Chevrolet Corvette Red09
1956 Chevrolet Corvette Red07
1956 Chevrolet Corvette Red11
1956 Chevrolet Corvette Red14
1956 Chevrolet Corvette Red16
1956 Chevrolet Corvette Red17

1957

1957 Chevrolet Corvette CM 00
1957 Chevrolet Corvette CM 03
1957 Chevrolet Corvette CM 08
1957 Chevrolet Corvette CM 07
1957 Chevrolet Corvette CM 09
1957 Chevrolet Corvette CM 18

1958

1958 Chevrolet Corvette Rds G1
1958 Chevrolet Corvette Rds G2
1958 Chevrolet Corvette Rds G7
1958 Chevrolet Corvette Rds G6
1958 Chevrolet Corvette Y1
1958 Chevrolet Corvette Y2
1958 Chevrolet Corvette Y5
1958 Chevrolet Corvette Y6

Have 'em, LOVE 'em!

Exceptional photos John! DM's '58's are extraordinary because of their paint. The charcoal paint is spot on. Up close, you can see it's true color. In other models it is black at any distance. And the Panama Yellow is as close to original as humanly possible - other models, not so much.

@perrone1

The gray tint was very hard for me to capture in any of my photos. These show it the closest of the ones I like. I have another set that really show the gray tint, but I just don't care for the photos much.

Yes! I found it very difficult as well when I photo'ed the model for the original review. I think I recall using a negative compensation fill flash to bring out the gray in the paint. You GOT it here perfectly!
