As I post another model from WCPD, I'm going back to 1959. This Impala is a different shade of red from yesterday's '64. Roman Red has a bright and "in your face" attitude. A color that is well-suited for the flamboyant style of the '59. For me, 1959 was the one year that Chevrolet loosened all the restraints and allowed their designers to use their imagination to the extreme.
1958, although a beautiful car, was far more sedate, totally different from the '57, but still reserved. 1960 used the basic shell of the '59 but it toned the style down for the new year. It's still a beautiful car, just simpler.
To be honest, there isn't a top-of-the-line Bel Air or Impala that I don't like from 1950 to 1972. After '72, I preferred the Caprice styling a bit more.

This one is my absolute favorite of the WCPD '59 Chevy's! And I like it best with the skirts. Though not generally a fan of skirts on cars, I do like them on most convertibles, as I think it makes them look more sporty. I have five of the WCPD '59s and this RED one does it for me.

A very nice model. You can never go wrong with a red convertible.
@jack-dodds Reminds me of how much I love ‘59 Chev’s John. Great pics, thanks for sharing them!
Put me down as being another fan of the 59 Chevrolet. My favorite is still the 58 but the 59 is right up there with it.
Fantastic model made to look even better in your great photos!
Just WOW, I'm a big fan of the '59 as well. I like the '60 just a touch better, but both years rock.💯😎
