No Packard collection could be complete without DMs representation of one of Packard's finest cars. These models were a masterpiece in miniature when issued by DM. Many labeled this as the last "true Packard" and DM has captured all the luxury Packard put into these fine cars perfectly.
1956 Packard Caribbean Convertible
and a little extra this morning, here's one I saw at a show here in Michigan just like DMs model.

Thank you John.......first time seeing this one.....delightful photos of the car most likely to be driven by the Caribbean Shamans
OH MAN I LOVE THIS MODEL! Of all the DM and FM 1:24's, this convertible is beyond spectacular! It is always displayed in a front row spot on my shelves. Great photos John...as usual!

The color contrast is just gorgeous. It's so hard to believe that this car company was about finished at this point in history.
Wonderful pictures John, of a model I am glad is a part of my collection.
oh how I''d love to add that. Every one I've seen for sale seems to be badly affected by rash, so I wont pull the trigger. One day!
Good point too Jack. Extraordinary a company can produce a product of this standard yet go under so soon after. Just doesn't make sense at all.
Mine suffers from rash as well. I have polished it in a few places, and it is improved, but it will never be perfect. The model arrived with a small amount of rash and has developed a bit more with time. I should have sent it back, but after the disappointment I had with the red '69 Firebird, I didn't want to take a chance.
