Both delights, both filmed BEAUTIFULLY! Have the two of them but always wished the blue LE had the wire wheels and vice versa.

Simply said, two of my favorites from Danbury Mint.  And I like that with the release of the Blue version, it had different wheels.  Both colors are stunning and replicated to the utmost perfection (to my eyes).  I remember the excitement of opening each of the boxes when they arrived.  I was awe!

On this Tony, I disagree.  My reason being, I'd not want the "red" trim around the hubcap to be on the "green" car.  That's a Christmas color combination.  So in this instance, I think the "red" goes best on the "blue" model.  This said, either hubcap would look great on either car.

This stunning Buick is one of DM's best efforts.  I recall the difficulty I had selecting one color, but went with the dark blue; similar to my recent color selection for the new Goldvarg Olds woody in fact.

I'm guessing by your comment above, that you weren't always a fan of adding multiple color versions to your collection.  I was always excited to get "repaints" (as we've often referred to them here on the Forums), because the REAL cars came in many different colors.  So in most instances, I'd added as many different colors as the mints produced.

Wouldn't be fun if we and others on this board lived closer to each other and we could get together for coffee and talk in person about our little cars...and the big ones too?

I, too, was excited when finding a FM or DM shipment at my door and had a hard time controlling myself until the model was in my hands !

Sadly now those days are over.

We wish we could but of course can't, which is why our Forum is so very important and such a pleasant part of my day George.  Like you, I appreciate it very much and also the individuals who contribute so much.  We may not always agree and sometimes not like feedback and such but isn't that just how life is?  It happens like that here and to receive, process and respond to it all in a healthy and respectful manner is the best way to maintain it.

Spot on Jack!  These Forums are in many ways an extension of our families.  The love of old cars, both real and our little ones, make us all brothers.  We come together with different likes, dislikes, opinions, and facts, but that is what makes it interesting and enjoyable.

In so many ways, it's a peaceful and tranquil place to visit.  MANY THANKS to John Kuvakus, the team of moderators and everyone behind the scenes connected to making these Forums possible and available for us.  Much love and respect to all of you!

@georgeschire George, the green car has real wire wheels not hubcaps. Have both, love both.
