Thanks Bob, yes I realize that. The term "hubcaps" was merely used for the purpose of the differences that Tony and I were discussing. I appreciate your clarification though.

@georgeschire George, I am somewhat sensitive when it comes to people referring to wire wheels as hubcaps. I assumed you knew the difference but you would be surprised how many don't. Both my 55 Imperial and 63 Thunderbird Sports Roadster have the Kelsey Hayes wire wheels. It takes a long time to clean these wheels so I try to avoid anything that might necessitate that chore.
