I saw Greg's post this morning about the Holden FX & FJ Sedans, check it out-it's great. I have had an interest in these models since I 1st discovered them in the late 90s. I was new to D4C, having joined in the late 90s as well. Up until then I had only been aware of the models from FM and DM, seeing posts from other D4C members and their models from other manufacturers and other parts of the world showed me cars I wasn't aware of. That's what happened with the Holden. A D4C member posted photos of their recently acquired '53 Holden FJ in black. I had to have one of my own.
I reached out to this company in Australia, Top Gear-Trax, established an account and purchased my very 1st model from another part of the world. That model opened up a world of opportunities and an appreciation of so many other cars from other places across our globe.
I don't recall who posted those original photos of the '53 Holden FJ, but the one I acquired has been a treasured piece in my collection since 1999.

This model was a 1st in another way as well. I purchased my 1st camera for model photos in late 2011. This model was one of models I used for early tests of my skills (or lack of) in photo taking.

looks as if another orphan SLR went to a new "forever" home on that special day back in ``11...........great pics of a really swell model John
Very NICE fellas!
Few people knew that this is the car that Kenny Rogers sang about.
"You got to know when to Holden, know when to fold 'em.
Know when to walk away,
and know when to run."
Nice photos, but not something I would add to my collection.
I have this one too, I love it. Perfect colors.

I love this model but sadly have never acquired one.
I have the two tone blue and the green two and think they're great models.
