A bit of interesting history some may not be aware of and some pics of models between '35 and '67:

The Chevy Suburban holds the record for being the longest-running nameplate in production. The first Suburban was produced in 1935 and has been in continuous production since, even through World War II because of its use as a military vehicle. GM estimates total production of more than two million units.

@jack-dodds EXCELLENT pictorial layout Jack - thank you for going to the trouble of doing it. I LOVE these machines. Have the standard FM 46 and the subsequent green camper, white ski lodge version and the sheriff's truck. I lack the ambulance. Any of these, above, makes for a great (any scale) model!
