A couple more entries from my Packard models.
In 1998, Franklin Mint issued a very nice and very rare (in the 1:1 automotive world) 1940 Packard Convertible. Now this was not just any ordinary convertible, but a Darrin Victoria Convertible. It is one I've only seen twice at the numerous Auto Shows I've attended. The model came in a deep lustrous burgundy. A beautiful model in every way.
In 2000, the D4C chose this model to offer as the 2nd annual club car. Their color choice for the model was to be Miami Sand. Instead of the tan top, Oxblood Red was the color used for the top & interior. The model is not quite as striking as the original, but gorgeous all the same. It was a Limited Edition of 1500.
FM released the model in one more color option, it was issued in 2006. This time the model was issued in Cubana Tan with an ivory top & interior. It is also a Limited Edition and was available in 2500 units.
All three of these models reside in my collection and while I like them all, the 1st issue is still my favorite of the trio.

thanks John !!.....these are All delightful.......the Cubana Tan gets my vote for an ideal standing humidor accent
@john-barry The VERY controversial "Miami Sand" looks like it was once white and then spent too much time IN a humidor. LOL
Great shots John. Unfortunately I can only enjoy your pictures. Never got any of these.

of course, once you look at it in that light.................................... 🤨
Thank you John for the history and images. I have the original red version which I really like.
I have the Miami Sand version, and it's like a chameleon. It seems to change color depending on the lighting conditions.
