The red '49 is in racing livery of "Overseas Motors - Atlanta" and on the roof it reads: "Austin of England". I guess there's a story there if anyone knows. The model has opening hood and trunk.
The 1950 Rocket 88 is pure curbside and seems to have been commissioned by the "Curved Dash Oldsmobile Club" for the 100th anniversary of the Oldsmobile Motor Vehicle Co. They built 4 cars that year. That would explain the "'97" on the door, but the license plate seems to commemorate Olds joining General Motors in 1908. So you figure it out.
Both models got a bit of paint and some Bare Metal Foil as well as dual exhausts on the '50 and are nice enough to display.
