It seems that in the early days of DM they must have had a mole inside TFM, because as soon as FM released a new image, miraculously DM offered the same almost simultaneously. Such was the case with the 1928 Sturz Blackhawk Boat-tailed Speedster. With the quality so poor and the model bereft of so many features, it just didn't seem likely that DM would make this a marketing triumph.... although I did buy it. LOL
and here's the DM in lustrous 'orange peel' black:
Thanks Rich, FMs appears so much better. I could never understand why the mints produced models of the same car when collectors were crying out for other releases. This is a perfect example. Was there really that big a market for 2 Stutz Blackhawks? Or 2 of the same colour Chryslers T & C etc etc etc?

Technically speaking, they are different year models, the FM model is 1928 and DM represents the 1927 model, they have minimal differences.
Because I like cars from the 20s, and not many are available, I bought both. On top of that I even have the car in 1/43 scale as well.
