Thanks .....nowhere in particular David..............the bear and Moses don`t actually belong there, but are difficult to get rid of once they become established.......I shot the subjects when I first came here, 3 or so years, and 3 cameras back......only recently gave them power of flight and time travel 😶
The cream colored figures are from Marx circa early to mid 50`s.....the Fords I`m sure you`re familiar with, one from each mint.....the lamp is a mid century Dazor twin-tube fluorescent.......a very popular style that can be seen in many old movie office environments.....I got the C-Clamps from my Dad
Now safely archived on the internet for the duration of this technology. Love the lunar background and thanks for the analysis of items. Nice to have multi-generational parts.
Moe the bear whisperer sings "By The Light Of the Silvery Moon" to distract peckish and irritable Bruno from dining on the Fairlane family who, pale with fear, desperately wait for their power roofs to lock and provide refuge.
Never one to be satisfied with easy calm waters,I`d like to reveal here, the lyrics to the accompanying song for this thread....."The Bottomless Hole" as performed by the "Handsome Family" .....a duo who came to my attention for their monumental performance of "Far from any Road".....the opening theme for "True Detective" S01 ....Not everyone enjoys the deep, tobacco stained country stuff.......but check out these lyrics, and maybe you`ll make some connection to what you see in todays single provided photo
The Bottomless Hole Lyrics
My name, I don't remember
Though I hail from Ohio
I had a wife and children
Good tires on my car
What took me from my home
And put me in the Earth
Was the mouth of a deep dark hole
I found behind my barn
[Verse 2]
We'd been filling it with garbage
As long as you could count
Kitchen scraps and dead cows
Tractors broken down
But never did I hear one thing hit the ground
And slowly I came to fear
That this was a bottomless hole
[Verse 3]
I went out behind the barn
And stared down in that hole
Late into the evening
My mind would not let go
So I got out my ropes and a rusty clawfoot tub
And I rigged myself a chariot
To ride down in that hole
[Verse 4]
My wife, she did help me
She fed me down the ropes
And then I sank away
From the surface of this world
When the last rope pulled tight
I had not reached the end
And in anger, I swung there
Down in that dark abyss
[Verse 5]
So I got out my knife
I told my wife goodbye
I cut loose from the ropes
And fell on down that hole
And still I'm there falling
Down in this evil pit
But until I hit the bottom
I won't believe it's bottomless
