Advice on removing tampos

I have a situation where I want to transfer the tampo/decal from one distressed car to a good one which lacks the tampo/decal. Any ideas? Warm water? ??

Tim, if itis truly a tampo, you cannot transfer it because it is not a "lift off" type of graphic.

It is PAINT. You can remove it, but you can't move it.

Question for Andy

This is on one of the old old DM 48 Chrysler T&Cs. I found a video online about using something called Micro Sol which dissolves old decals. I ordered some to try. I was hoping to remove the old decals and reuse them. You're saying no hope?

Tim, there is a distinct difference between a tampo (PAINT) and a decal (LIFT off transfer). A decal is a film which is typically slid into place as a "water-slide". Even after a period of time, you can re-soften and move a decal by using products such as Micro Sol because you are moving a piece of film. A Tampo, on the other hand, is like taking a brush and painting a graphic on a surface. You CANNOT move paint. You can only remove it.
