Again, what were your " best "/ " most fun " diecast buys..and..
..do you make up binders to hold info on the models, and the ownership papers, etc., as part of the " hobby "?? I do this, and it is part of the fun factor. Getting prev. owner papers is fun, too!!=;
Do you go to the secretary of state to transfer titles?
Don't transfer..part of th' 'riginal his'try, eh!!!..That's part 'o th' funn 2, also!!
Mine has an interesting story.
I once was a big Nascar diecast collector. I had just about every Dale Earnhardt Action RCCA Elite model. All Elites have a plate on the chassis with the car's serial number. When Dale died in 2001 it was a big loss for all Nascar fans. He is a legend. At that time I had a relationship of Action Performance. Not a big one, but one nonetheless. Right after Dale died I was given a gift of a 2001 Dale Earnhardt Goodyear Elite diecast with a serial number of 0003! It became a prized item in my collection. Those who are into serial numbers know how unique this one would be. I will likely never come across a deal like that again.
My DM '35 Duesenberg SSJ Speedster.............
was purchased in Europe by a US Military person and hand carried back to the US. I have the original packaging and paperwork (title-different format) with DMs European printed info.
Clarke, yes I do have five 3" binders with original documentation & sales flyers AND printouts of the reviews with pics to go with them. ARRRRRGG, what a job to keep them updated but well worth the effort.
