For us frozen tundra Minnesotan's, maybe Danbury Mint should have come out with a 1:24 diecast sleigh and reindeer model.  Smile LOL, I'd have bought it!

Merry Christmas George. I'm sure by now that you are used to the things winter throws your way....I on the other hand don't see myself in that role any longer. Having travelled in snow, sleet and ice for many years I am happy leaving those conditions to others now. As a friend of mine is often quoted as saying " no one retires and moves north". If it's any consolation, we do have our own challenges such as hurricanes, tornadoes and severe thunderstorms with flooding.

Merry Christmas George, and thanks for your interesting contribution to the forums!  I know what you mean about the cold.  The temperature dropped down to 46 degrees last night and next week there's a chance of rain with the highs in the low 60's.  Burr, I hate this winter weather!

Thank you Bob!  And yes, we all have our weather woes to deal with.  I've never been smart enough to pack up and leave this frozen tundra, so I've no right to complain.  Doesn't mean I like it even a little bit though.

Merry Christmas George and to all who have responded. Lengthy coverage over here last night of the storms you guys are experiencing, hope you are all OK. At the opposite end of the weather spectrum here in Melbourne we've just started a 4 day heat wave, peaking at 37 degrees on Tuesday (about 98F.)
