Years ago at a show, there were a slew of really cheap 1/24 Jadas that were selling at 2 for $25. Most of them were "dubbed", but the ones looking stock seemed like something worth playing with. This old Chevy 2100 tow truck looked pretty cool and the graphics (including the phone number) were relatively period. I envisioned a southern towing service run by a couple of 'good ole boys'. I jazzed the truck a bit with hazard stripes and reflectors on the rear and did a bit of paint detailing. I don't remember where the good ole boys came from. All I remember was they came in pieces and unpainted. I also remember scratch building the bearded guy's hat.I left the head, arms and waist set in wax so I could alter their poses. Anyway, it was a fun project done on the cheap.
VERY cool Rich; you have a gift for finding and making these things TERRIFIC!
I agree completely with Tony, this is cool and looks excellent ! A great bargain for $ 12.50.
