I just finished this 2004 Pontiac GTO. This is a fairly new kit from AMT. Amazingly didn’t have to use a lot of glue. This was actually a slip together snap together kit. But it was like building a kit that you have to glue. Hope you enjoy.

Interesting they modeled the first year w/o the iconic GTO hood scoops. GM had to go through all the bureaucratic hoops to have the Holden certified in the US, but when they wanted to add the scoops, they were told they had to go through the certifications all over again. Hence, no scoops that year.

I love this generation GTO. To me it's tastefully done, not overdone. I think it makes a great gentleman's hotrod. I know a lot of people wanted it done retro style, but that doesn't mean this is bad. It looks just as good, or better than some of the newer coupes from high end makers. Sleek and aerodynamic. 💯😎

great choice John, and one I must get. The brilliant 2001-2006 Holden Monaro. I have a nice 1/43, but now I can add a 1/24, 1/25. Hood scoops were added from 2004 I believe, I kinda like it without. Heres a 2006 in your color John:

They still sell for around their original early 2000s price, approx $50000Aust.
