1961. I was 14 years old and wore my phonograph out playing 45 rpm records of all the latest new hits. One that was very likely my favorite that year was by The Echoes - Baby Blue.

Also new that year was the styling of my favorite car, the Corvette. It sported a tail-end treatment hinting at the upcoming 1963 Stingray.

For all I envisioned, The Echoes were singing about the new '61 Vette in Jewell Blue. I suppose, after all, one could describe it as Baby Blue.

Very nice, Tony ! It is hard to believe the Corvette was only 8 years old then and rock 'n roll was only (officially) 6 years old at that point. All within (sort of) an individual lifetime ........

A favorite of mine for obvious reasons. I was hoping for a repaint in Roman Red with white coves since that's the color of my 1/1. This year marks the 51st year that I have owned my 61. Never did I ever believe I would own the car that long. Wonderful pictures as always Tony.
