'Biggest' car at the Rockford Chrome & Classics car show.....
This car is a monster, it's HUGE.
An absolutely beautiful behemoth...........
The hood is higher than the roof of the car beside it.

I wonder how many weeks or months this guy spent 'polishing' the finish on the wood........
Georgous! I hope DM repaints theirs like this.
Good GOD that's spectacular! What a beautiful automobile!
I've never seen a "real" one of those before. I maybe wrong, but it looks a little over-restored! I hardly think the wood originally had such a clear coated appearance, though I am FAR from an authority on Classic "Woodies" so .... Dosn't bother me in the least, i'd take that one in a heart beat to Tool around town in.
GREAT Car, thanks! And for the record, I own the DM '48 Reissue Chrysler T&C Convertible and this its an awesome model. I don't see why it always gets bashed??? Especially now that I have a real car to compare it to. YES the original release was a bit cheesy, moulded on wipers in the windshield, and several other "cheap" looking areas, but the re-release that I own is great!
Phil, If this is the reissued DM 1948 Chrysler T&C in maroon, what color was the original issue?....
I'm just curious, because I couldn't find any other issues in the "Car Lists and Reviews" from Danbury for this car. Have they overlooked it in the Reviews?
I believe this is the original. Mine is maroon and I bought it way back in the '90s.
Chrysler T & C
My DM issue in deep maroon is dated 1994 (!) on the
trunk underside. When just a wee lad, I remember
riding down the Skyline Parkway from DC to Front
Royal, VA in my great-uncle's blue example. Big car!
I believe you are getting FM and DM T&C Conv. mixed up....
DM has only the Maroon T&C and FM has a dark Noel Green that is discoed and a re-issue in Military Blue (Med) that is current. Danbury has reissued their 42 T&C Wagon and that is a current model.
