I like blackwalls on most of these trucks etc - more period correct

+1. I grew up in the construction business - 'late 60s - late '80s. It was rare...

... to see ANY pickup with WWs.
So, blackwalls look more realistic to me as well.

I was born in 1939 and during the ‘40’s and ‘50’s WW’s were popular except for beat up farm trucks.

For some families a pickup was the family car and some went for polish and whitewalls. It was a choice.

I’m not sure what was more common then as I wasn’t born till 1966 and always lived in NYC. Growing..

Up I seldom even saw ANY pick up trucks. I do, however, think these old pick ups look better WITH whitewalls.

There was an early 50s chevy at my grandfather's place...

It had gray walls. LOL The tires were old, mismatched, bald, wore out. But we just used it on the property (60 acres, not really a working farm).

I replied, but lost it somewhere.

I agree with you FWIW.

If they are modeled shiny, then WW. If they are dull and weathered, BW.

Good point and I’ll agree! But what if you have a weathered PU with dirty scuffed WWs!

Lololol
