..........I`d like to think that setting your forearms down on that wonderful wood surface and coming away with one of these puppies must be the ultimate level of therapy
@david-green David. Yes pretty much. I added a lot of extra's, like painted the grill black and added yellow turn signals. Added features to the interior and also the engine itself.
This is a 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 by Polar Lights. It is 1/25 scale. It is a pre-painted snap together kit, even though it did need gluing.
This is the third one of these that I have built. As you can see in the photo.
Nice work! Brings back memories of when I'd put models together a few years back...60 or years back, to be exact. I like that '60 Ford I see in the background of one of your photos. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks George. I am happy at my ripe old age of 64 I am still able to build this kits and paint with somewhat of a steady hand. The reason they are still on my desk is that I have to create some new shelf space. I have run out and I still have some 100 cars to build.
A friend in Toronto had a 1966 Dodge Coronet so I imagine they were available in Canada in 1965. His had a slant 6 engine which was reliable but pretty gutless. Seems to me these were called midsized cars back then.
