Yes folks, it's another great (and huge!) bus from the folks at Sun Star. If you've seen their fab. Routemaster (they keep bringing out new versions), you know this new Bedford is going to be one super model. So...Sunstar...When do we get an American bus ?? You know, an old-look GMC model TDH-4507, or similar. Hey-they were a part of the American post war landscape--these things were EVERYWHERE. I mean, when I think the word "bus" this is what I see in my mind. So come on Sun Star. We know you can do it, and do it right. I WANT THAT BUS AND I WANT IT NOW !!! (sorry Paul).
My credit card is READY for their first American Bus...
:))
I'm all for that, 1/24th GMC from late 40s is a must have in any bus collection.
I knew I could count on you, Bob !!!
Ron, do you have any other Sun Star Route Master 1:24th scale Buses?
I just received the blue #2905 Vernon's Pools Bus, but discovered that the graphics are thin, brittle decals that have cracked and disintegrated over the raised panal lines. Do you have this bus, and if so, are your decals crumbling away?
I have the "Green Line" version, unique because the rear platform is enclosed by a working 4-panel "accordian" door. This feature got me psyched for an American bus with working doors, etc. The "Greenie" is a gorgeous model. My brother Gene has the "Silver Lady" version, a model of one unit which was run without paint, in its bare aluminum body. Graphics on both are fine.
