Car Values

Is there a good website that can tell you the value of diecast cars? I'm a beginning collector and I'm going to an auction this afternoon, and they are selling several cars. Thanks!

This website is a good place to start. Here's what to do:

Click on the AUCTION tab. Scroll down and you will see a box labeled "Auction Services." In there, click on "Price Guide." Enter the search terms (manufacturer, scale, year, make and model, etc.). This will give you historical information about sales prices of a particular model on this site.

You can do the same on eBay by searching for a specific model then also checking the "Complete Listings" box on the left side.

Hope this helps.

Wayne, good advice from Al Dorado. I'd only add that, with some cars the value is whatever you're willing to pay for it and a seller is willing to sell it for. But Al's directing you to the auction site is a great place to check. Good luck!
