Cars of the 1940s...
1948 Hudson Commodore Eight
My aunt and uncle had this exact car, same color, etc.
It wasn't new--if I can remember it, then it must have been around '54 or '55. They traded it in on a Dodge (yellow and black) in '56. The Hudson was great to ride in as a small child--it was like an upholstered cave! And very quiet and smooth ride.
Gorgeous car!! I love DM to make that!!
and of course......................................
My 56 IMPERIAL !!!!!:D
Great ride indeed. I had one of these in 1959. EOM.
Thanks Ed................
Had one exactly like that one in high school, same exact colors and all. Straight eight. I was able to keep it going because the mechanics teacher at school had a six cyl. engine from his and installed it in mine. He put a Olds Rocket 88 in his car........FAST, oh ya.B-)
