The aero-streamliner movement in the latter part of the 1930s can be epitomized by the designs and vision of Parisian coachbuilder Giuseppe Figoni of Figoni et Falaschi (Ovidio Falaschi ran the business). This 1937 Delahaye 135MS was most high performance and most powerful competition chassis in the Delahaye lineup with production ending in 1954, featuring for 1937 a 160 HP 3.6 liter straight 6. Figoni's body spread the tear drop motif through the pontoon fenders as well as the cabin of this berlinetta with its raked windscreen to its heart-shaped deck. While not as flashy as some the bodies he built for the likes of Delahaye, Delage and Talbot Lago, if you've ever taken a drafting course, you can lay your French Curve Ruler down and trace every aspect of it on the lines of this fine automobile.

I love everything you bring to the site. Your pictures and stories about them are fantastic. Please keep them coming. Happy 4th.
I have the model in Aubergine (plumb). Automodello does these models at a very high level and they are beautiful on display.
Great looking car. I like the front of the car.
@bob-jackman That Aubergine or eggplant is the hardest to photograph. It either blacks out or looks like a bing cherry. Here's the Talbot-Lago. It looks like a f\different color all together depending on the angle of light.
@rich-sufficool I see what you mean. I also have the Talbot-Lago in that color and in the Blue/Silver combination. Did Alan ever do any other 1/24 scale models?
@bob-jackman Of vintage automobiles, the 1948 Saoutchik Cadillac convertible. The also did a line of 1/24 Gassers like the Willys.
There are very few cars styled by Figoni & Falaschi I don't like. The 1930s was an incredible decade of automotive creativity. Great post, RS. Merci.
Teardrops of joy. Exceptional as always Rich. Happy 4th everyone. Here's to another 250.🙏👍💯
@rich-sufficool Rich, I have a wish list - Just added the 1948 Saoutchik Cadillac convertible by Motor City to the list, I very much enjoy your posts Rich.
PS the Talbot-Lago is already on it..
I've had the Aubergine for a while. Beautiful model of a beautiful car. I think the 1948 Saoutchik Cadillac maybe creeping lower in price. Hopefully, I too would love to add one. Lost count of how many times this has happened but one of your closeups has shown up a feature on a model I did not know was there! Thanks Rich
