This is our downtown decorated for Christmas. They have displays set up all around the Courthouse and the rest of downtown. Not the best pic, just wanted to share some small town Christmas spirit.🎅☃️🎄

Love town squares! Ours is set up similarly; courthouse in the center. Maryville is a town from 1795. Down town, the street lights have Christmas lights, the courthouse has trees decorated by various churches all over the property and the city hall has lights and someone decorated the statue of Sam Houston, in a Santa hat! He lived here and taught here before his journey to Texas. Great pic Geno - Merry Christmas!!

The town square so beautifully decorated has always been a Christmas highlight for me since childhood.

Spartanburg, SC use to have a tremendous downtown showing that you would want to just drive through every night.  Over the last 10 years, it has dwindled down to almost nothing other than the big awful looking tree that was planted at the Denny's tower, instead of bringing in a real Christmas tree.  No real point in going downtown anymore at Christmas time.  I have seen better displays at peoples homes now.

@carsman1958 Yes I have noticed the same thing.  Let's hope and pray that the drug/poverty/homeless/health issues underlying this downtown decay are resolved soon.  Civic pride needs a major rebuild!  I'll leave it at that today.....don't want to make it political on this forum.

For the years we lived in Nashville; we always took Christmastime visitors to see the lights outside and inside the Opryland Hotel. They were spectacular.

Since living here in the foothills of the Smokies, (30 years) we take them, through the National Park to see the lights of Gatlinburg.

Picturesque, Tony. All nice but your second mountain scene is exceptional.

Yes, great pics Tony. Our town still takes pride in the upkeep of our downtown area, thankfully. Tons of history and neat historic buildings. Merry Christmas guys.💯🎄🙏
